Written with compassion and honesty, each book gently guides children through their emotions, offering hope, comfort, and connection. Whether they’ve lost a parent, a pet, or are facing life’s tough transitions, Lyfe’s Lessons helps them feel seen, supported, and safe.
Meet the Author
Holly Whitfield grew up in Norton, Massachusetts, and is a mother, registered nurse, and children’s book author with a heart rooted in compassion and healing. After the devastating loss of her husband, she found herself navigating the quiet, complicated terrain of grief, especially the kind that leaves more questions than answers. In the stillness of sorrow, Holly found her voice through writing. Her husband’s dog, Lyfe, became her daily companion and greatest source of comfort. What began as shared moments of healing, playing ball, hiking wooded trails, watching the sun dip below the ocean’s edge, soon blossomed into something more. Lyfe’s spirit and loyalty became the heartbeat of her children’s book series, Lyfe’s Lessons.
Lyfe’s Lessons is dedicated to helping children feel less alone, better understood, and gently reminded that love always leaves a light behind. Her mission is to help kids, and the grownups who love them, face life’s toughest lessons with grace, honesty, courage, and warmth.
